Systems Innovation

IDIA’s Systems Innovation Learning Roadmap aims to investigate the context, need, and capacity of IDIA agencies for systems innovation. A Working Group was developed around this objective convening IDIA members and other humanitarian and development practitioners. The Working Group Co-chairs were joined by Learning Partners from the Rockwool Foundation’s System Innovation Initiative: Charlie Leadbeater, Jennie Winhall and Shawn Smith who co-curated learning sessions and individual deep dives. During IDIA’s 2022 - 2023 strategic period, the Working Group will focus on enhancing IDIA’s execution of systems innovation by exploring the relevance of a systems innovation framework for projects and programs with an ambition for systems-level impact.

IDIA launched a Systems Innovation Blog with a ‘5-part series’ co-authored by the Working Group’s co-chairs (Sida, FCDO and strategic partner OECD) and continues to develop a resources navigator which captures relevant tools and resources from across the industry.
